Iroquois Offers Plenty of Options to Enjoy the Race on May 14th, 2016

 
 

The Iroquois Steeplechase will enjoy 75 years on May 14, celebrating more than seven decades of Music City’s annual celebration of time-honored traditions, Tennessee hospitality and Southern fashions. Held the second Saturday of May each year at Percy Warner Park, the event attracts more than 25,000 spectators to watch the best horses and riders in the world race over hurdles on a three-mile turf track.

Though the scene is packed with excitement and buzzing with excited guests, there’s no shortage of options where those tens of thousands of people can enjoy the races. Fans have as many options as ever to plant their seat, including the following availabilities for 2016 (as of April 1, 2016):

Tailgating Options
All-Inclusive Tailgating Package

  • The All-Inclusive Tailgating Package offers guests everything they need to enjoy a stress-free day at the races. Each package is $860 and includes a large tailgating space in the Meadows area, a professionally installed tent, one table and tablecloth, eight chairs and armbands for eight guests. Guests can either bring their own food or work with pre-approved catering vendors for the perfect tailgating spread.

Tailgating Singles

  • Don’t want to organize a big group, but do want to join Nashville’s biggest tailgate party Consider their Tailgating Singles, or individual armbands, to the infield. These tickets offer individuals the opportunity to attend the races and enjoy all that the infield has to offer, including the Iroquois Shoppes and food truck area. Priced at $100 each, ticket buyers can park at Highway 100 and rise a shuttle to and from the grounds.

Tailgating Packages

  • Join one of Nashville’s favorite traditions, and biggest spring tailgate party! All Tailgate Packages receive rights to a tailgating space, armbands for 8 people and two Lot T parking passes. All tailgaters may visit all other tailgating areas, including the Iroquois Shoppes and the Family Area. Packages are $600.

Family Area

  • The Family Area offers every member of your brood to chance to enjoy race day. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Family Area offers free games and activities for kids 12 and under (who are accompanied by a parent). Families can also purchase a tailgating spot in this area. The family tailgating package is priced at $550.

VIP & Catered Tents
104.5 The Zone Tailgate

  • Join 104.5 The Zone Tailgate for a rail-side tailgate with your favorite radio personalities in the Meadows area. Guests can spend time with 104.5 The Zone and enjoy complimentary food and drinks, plus access to other areas in the infield. Guests must be 21 or older to purchase a ticket for The Zone Tailgate. Tickets are $125 each.

Tents In The Turn

  • Tents in The Turn is the perfect venue for Steeplechase guests who want to see and be seen. Entertain in tented luxury, and provide guests with an action-packed area that offers an up-close view of the races and jumbotron. Tents can accommodates groups of 20, up to 140 guests. There are three package options that scale in price.

General Admission

General Admission ticket holders will watch the excitement from the Hillside spectator area, where there’s great viewing to watch the horses stretch their legs and access to Iroquois Shoppes. A complimentary shuttle service from the Highway 100 parking lot to the General Admission is provided. Picnics and blankets are encouraged! Tickets are $20.
