You're invited to watch the first leg of the Brown Advisory Iroquois Cheltenham Challenge  at our St. Patrick's Day Watch Party on Thursday, March 17 from 8:45-10:45 a.m. at Sam's PlaceTrue to Nashville form, good eats and drinks will provided at this brunch party, which will feature the live telecast of Cheltenham's Ryanair World Hurdle race. The event is free, but seating is limited (RSVP above).

The Cheltenham Festival has become England’s largest sporting event, and its Ryanair World Hurdle is of very particular interest to us: the first-place winner of this March 17th race will have a chance to take home a $500,000 bonus if he/she crosses the pond to win our own Calvin Houghland Iroquois, sponsored by Bank of America, in Nashville on May 14th.

Dubbed the Brown Advisory Iroquois Cheltenham Challenge, this partnership is upping the ante between two of the most iconic steeplechase races in the US and the UK by offering a significant bonus to any horse that wins both races within a year. That means that the winner of Cheltenham's World Hurdle could very well be making the trip to Tennessee in May 2016 to take home a bonus of half-a-million dollars!

The Brown Advisory Iroquois Cheltenham Challenge is sponsored by Baltimore-based investment company Brown Advisory, who is also a sponsor of a steeplechase race at Cheltenham. Company CEO Mike Hankin is a respected owner known for fielding competitive horses on both sides, and we're grateful that he's championing this competition!
