WHAT:

69th Running of the Iroquois Steeplechase presented by Bank of America

The Iroquois is one of the oldest, most prestigious, and most challenging steeplechase races in the country.  Seven races offer total purses and bonuses of $415,000.  Estimated attendance at the 2009 races was 21,000.

In addition to offering great entertainment, the Iroquois supports the vital work of the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.  Since its affiliation with the hospital in 1981, the Iroquois has raised more than $9 million for specialized medical equipment, pediatric critical care, and research into childhood diseases.
