Steeplechase tailgating spaces are sold through a four phase process. During the first two phases, sales are restricted to tailgating space owners from the previous year. During the first phase, 2009 space owners will be given the opportunity to renew their space for the 2010 races. In the second phase, 2009 space owners have the option to swap to a new space and/or purchase additional spaces. Any spaces not purchased during the first two phases will go on sale to the general public during phase III. During phase IV, the final phase of sales, the price of additional armbands increases. All sales are final.
2010 Tailgating Phase Timeline
Phase I - Renewals
Starts: Monday, February 8, 2010 12:00 p.m. CST
Ends: Monday, March 8, 2010 8:00 a.m. CST
• Tailgate space owners from last year are guaranteed renewal of their space from 2009 for the 2010 races THROUGH THE PHASE I RENEWAL DEADLINE.
Phase II - Swaps and/or New Purchases
Starts: Monday, March 8, 2010 10:00 a.m. CDT
Ends: Monday, March 29, 2010 8:00 a.m. CDT
• Before sales are available to the general public, tailgate space owners from the previous year have the exclusive opportunity to purchase additional spaces and/or swap to spaces that were not renewed in Phase I. You can renew your space from last year online, if it is still available. Guaranteed renewal only occurs in Phase I.
• YOU MAY NOT CHANGE YOUR LOCATION AFTER PHASE II.
Phase III - Sales Open to the General Public
Starts: Monday, March 29, 2010 10:00 a.m. CDT
Ends: Monday, April 26, 2010 8:00 a.m. CDT
• All remaining spaces are available for purchase by the general public.
• Additional armbands are available for sale online at this time.
• Anyone purchasing tailgating spaces or armbands after the end of Phase III will be required to pick tickets up at the WILL-CALL Station.
• All sales are final and space locations can not be changed.
• Tickets sold after 4:00 p.m. CST on April 23 are subject to increased price.
• General Admission tickets available on-line.
Phase IV – Final Week Sales – Increased Prices and Will-Call Pick-up
Starts: Monday, April 26, 2010 10:00 a.m. CDT
Ends: Thursday, May 6, 2010 4:00 p.m. CDT
• Price of additional armbands increases.
• All tickets ordered on or after April 26 must be picked up at Will-Call (location TBD).
• NO TAILGATING ARMBANDS OR SPACES WILL BE SOLD THE DAY OF STEEPLECHASE.
• All Sales Are Final.
